 High-level disinfection will not be achieved during the trophon EPR disinfection cycle
 Residual disinfectant remaining on the probe surface. This may lead to temporary bleaching
and/ or irritation of the skin if no gloves are worn.
 Damage to the probe may occur if in contact with the chamber wall
NOTE: Curved probes must be correctly inserted in the trophon. See Figure 13. The curved probe
positioner (CPP) accessory is required to assist with this positioning for certain probes. Refer to the
trophon EPR Validated Probes List.

C2.4 Closing the Chamber Door

 The door will automatically lock at the start of a high level disinfection cycle.
 If the door is not properly closed, screen message: Close Chamber Door will be displayed.

C2.5 Disinfecting the Probe

The next screen message: Is the Probe Clean and Dry?
1. If the probe has been pre-cleaned and dried, press Yes using the soft key button. If Yes is
selected, you will be prompted by the screen message: Press start to begin.
2. If the probe has NOT been pre-cleaned and dried, press No. Remove the probe, clean and dry
the probe and position again as directed in section C2.3.
3. Once the probe is pre-cleaned and dried, select Yes and press the START button to initiate the
cycle or Cancel to unlock the machine and remove the probe.
4. The progress of the disinfection cycle is indicated on the LCD screen message: Disinfecting.
