Operation
2.1 Unpacking
1. Unpack
the
appliance
accessories.
2. Check that the contents are complete and
intact (Figs. 1 – 4).
NOTE:
Consult your dealer immediately if you detect
damage due to transport.
ATTENTION:
Principally ship or transport the appliance
only in its original packaging to avoid
damage. Keep the packaging for such an
event.
Dispose of no longer needed packaging
material properly.
2.2 Assembly
WARNING:
Danger
of
injury!
Only
assemble
appliance if it is not connected to the mains.
Otherwise the appliance could start up and
limbs, hair or pieces of clothing might be
sucked in.
1. Push the end of the suction hose into the
socket as shown until the catch snaps into
place (Fig. 5/A).
2. Push the nozzle onto the lower end of the
telescopic tube (Fig. 5/B).

3. Insert the handle into the upper end of the
telescopic tube (Fig. 6/A).
4. Adjust the length of the telescopic tube. To
do this, press the telescopic tube lock down
(Fig. 6/B1). Then extend the telescopic
tube to the desired length (Fig. 6/B2). To
engage the lock of the telescopic tube,
release the catch while pulling. You will
hear a distinct click.

5. Attach accessories temporarily not in use to
the accessory holder on the suction tube
(Fig. 2).
Your vacuum cleaner is now ready for use.

2.3 Vacuum cleaning

WARNING:
with
all
its
Danger of injury! A damaged appliance must
not be used. Check the vacuum cleaner and
the power cord each time before using it.
WARNING:
Danger of injury! Especially when cleaning
stairs take care that you always stand above
the appliance.
ATTENTION:
Only use the vacuum cleaner with all filters
intact, in dry condition and correctly placed.
Make sure that the openings of the vacuum
cleaner are not clogged.or obstructed.
Otherwise the vacuum cleaner might be
damaged.
NOTE:
Your vacuum cleaner is equipped with a
safety switch to prevent overheating. It
the
automatically cuts off the power supply if the
motor is overheated. In this case switch off
the vacuum cleaner and disconnect it from
the mains. Remove the cause of the
overheating. Wait for about 45 minutes. After
it has cooled off, you may use the vacuum
cleaner again.

Observe the recommendations of the
flooring manufacturers.
2. When using the floor nozzle, adjust the
"carpet/hard floor" switch according to the
type of flooring:
3. Pull out the power cord until the yellow
marking is visible. (Fig. 7/5).
WARNING:
Danger of electric shock! If the red marking
shows (Fig. 7/4) retract the cord by pressing
the retract button to pull in the cable (Fig. 7/
2) up to the yellow mark again. Otherwise
the cable can break off.

4. Insert the mains plug into a socket with
ground/safety contact.
5. Switch on the vacuum cleaner with the on/
off switch (Fig. 7/3).
6. Set the power control (Fig. 7/1) to suit the
type of floor to be cleaned.

7. When working with the vacuum cleaner,
pull if after you like a sleigh.
NOTE:
With the bypass vent (Fig. 1/5) you can
quickly reduce the suction power if less
power is needed, or to release objects
accidentally sucked in.

2.4 Switching off

1. Switch off the vacuum cleaner with the on/
off switch (Fig. 7/3) and pull the plug from
the mains socket.
2. Keep the plug in your hand.
WARNING:
Danger
of
injury!
During
retraction the power cord can whip around,
become an obstacle or overthrow objects.
Therefore, keep the plug in your hand and
guide the cord during retraction.
3. Press the cable retraction button (Fig. 7/2)
to pull in the power cord.

2.5 Transportation and storage

To transport the appliance you can carry it
by the carrying-handle (Fig. 8/1) or by the
carrying-hole (Fig. 8/2) .

When storing the appliance or during
work breaks, you can hang the storage hook
(Fig. 9/1) into the bracket on the housing
(Fig. 9/2).

recommend
to
first

ATTENTION:
Never store the appliance next to heat
sources (e.g. stoves or radiators). Avoid
exposing it to direct sunlight. The heat might
damage the appliance.
For long-time storage remove the dust
filter bag Zchapter 3.1, „Changing the dust
filter bag" and dispose ot it properly. Always
store the appliance in a cool, dry place and
keep it out of reach of children.
