Regulatory compliance

We, Somfy, declare that this product is compliant with the essential requirements and other relevant stipulations of
directive 1999/5/EC. A compliance declaration is available from the following address www.somfy.com/ce
(FX24/FX230). This product can be used in the European Union, Switzerland and Norway.

SAFETy INSTRUCTIONS

A motor drive system once installed and when used properly is compliant with the required degree of safety. We do
however recommend that users follow the few simple rules set out below to avoid any inconvenience or accident. Before
using the motor drive system, carefully read the instructions for use and retain them for future reference.
Keep children, persons and objects out of the way of the motor drive system, especially when in motion.
Never leave the remote controls or other control systems in reach of children to avoid accidental motor drive system use.
Never attempt to interfere with gate motion.
Never attempt to open the gate by hand without first releasing the motor drive system using the special release key.
Never make changes to motor drive system components.
Should the system operate incorrectly, switch off the power supply, use the emergency release mechanism to allow
access and call for help from a qualified technician (installation specialist).
When performing outdoor cleaning operations, first switch off the power supply to the system and where necessary
disconnect one of the poles on the batteries.
Never clean the motor drive system using a high pressure water cleaner.
Clean the lenses on the photoelectric cells and the indicator lights. Make sure that branches or shrubs do not interfere
with the safety mechanisms (photoelectric cells).
For all of your motor drive system servicing needs, always call on a qualified technician (installation specialist).
Have the motor drive system inspected once a year by a qualified technician.

The FX24/FX230 controller were designed to control Ixengo motor drive units operating gates weighing up to 200 kg for
home or small residential complex use.
