IMPORTANT NOTICE

• Read these instructions carefully before using this iron.
• Do not connect it until you have verified that the iron's voltage coincides
with the voltage used in your house.
• Verify that the plug socket is equipped with a suitable ground connection.
• Take care that the power cord does not touch hot parts of the iron.
• If ironing with steam, you can use tap water, unless its scale content is
too high. In this case it is best to use mineral water. Do not use ionised
battery water, distilled water or demineralised water.
• To fill the iron or top it up while ironing, switch the iron off and use the
beaker that comes with it for this purpose.
• Do not worry if the iron gives off a little smoke when used for the first
time. This will go away quickly.
• Never leave the hot iron on garments or materials that can burn easily.
• Do not discharge steam in the 'vertical' position onto a garment hanging
in the wardrobe or on a person. Vertical ironing should be done with
the garment on a hanger and away from other garments, items or
people.
• Always iron on a stable surface.
• Keep the iron in the upright position when you are not actually ironing,
and stand it on its heel when you put it away.
• Check the voltage of the mains and turn the voltage selector Fig. 1 (5)
to the correct position with the help of a tool.
• When you finish ironing, always empty the water from the tank. If you want
to drain it while ironing, always unplug the appliance from the mains first.
• To disconnect the iron, never pull on the power cord, take out the plug.
• In the event of a fault, being dropped, visible damage to the casing or water
leaking from inside the iron, do not continue ironing with it. Go to a Solac
Authorized Technical Service shop. You will find one in the attached list.
