• Continuous operation On: Press the
on/off switch (3) and then the locking
switch (2) to lock.
• Continuous operation Off: Press the
on/off switch (3) - the locking switch
unlocks - then release.
Laser marking aid (Figure 6)
The beam of light from the laser marking
aid (14) makes it easier to execute
straight cuts in accordance with Figure 8.
a) Along a pre-drawn cutting line on the
work piece
b) By pointing it at a marked fixed point
on the work piece.
The range of the beam is approximately
18 cm, depending on the ambient lighting.
LED working light (Figure 7)
The beam of light from the LED working
light (14) enables better visibility and
safer operation in darker working areas.
If necessary these functions may be
activated by pressing the On/Off switch
for the laser marking aid and LED work-
ing light (15).
• Press once: Laser marking aid
• Press twice: LED working light
• Press three times: Laser marking aid
and LED working light
Press again to switch both functions
back off again.
Dust blower function
Slide the selection switch for the dust
blower function (6) in the direction of the
extraction opening to activate the func-
tion.

When switched on, the shavings are
blown from the cutting area.
To deactivate the blower function, push
the selection switch forwards.
9 – Mode of operation
Sawing
Do not put excess pressure on the
materials being cut in order to prevent
overheating and destruction of the saw
blade. Put thin materials onto an addi-
tional board in order to absorb vibra-
tions and to improve the results of the
cut.
Sawing without pilot hole (plunge cuts)
If you need to cut into
the centre of the work
piece and it is not pos-
sible to drill a hole: Set
oscillation (9) to 0, loos-
en the saw shoe (7),
push back all the way,
and lock in place. With the saw blade in a
tipped machine position and the machine
running, carefully guide it across the work
piece. As soon as you have sawn through
the work piece, continue with the machine
in the normal position.
OBSERVE IMPORTANT NOTES!
• Only soft materials may be processed
using the plunge cut procedure.
• Always set the mitre angle setting
to 0°.
