1. Switch operation
(1) Lock-off button
The tool is equipped with a lock-off button. To start
the tool, press the lock-off button and then squeeze
the switch trigger. (Fig. 17)

CAUTION
Do not fi x and secure the lock-off button.
Besides, keep your fi nger off the switch trigger
when the tool is being carried around. Otherwise,
the switch trigger can be inadvertently turned
ON, resulting in unexpected accidents.
(2) Switch trigger
This tool is equipped with a variable speed controlled
switch trigger. The tool can be turned "ON" or "OFF"
by squeezing or releasing the switch trigger. The
blade plunger stroke rate can be adjusted from the
minimum to maximum nameplate stroke rate by the
pressure you apply to the switch trigger. Apply more
pressure to increase the speed and release pressure
to decrease speed.
In addition, releasing the switch trigger activates a
break that stops the blade immediately.

2. How to use the LED light (Fig. 19)
The LED light will light the area at the tip of the tool
when the switch trigger is drawn.
The LED light goes out after releasing the switch
trigger.

CAUTION
Do not look directly into the light from the LED
lamp. Continuous and direct exposure to the
light from the LED lamp can injure your eyes.
3. About remaining battery indicator (on battery (sold
separately))
You can check the battery's remaining capacity by
pressing the remaining battery indicator switch to
light the indicator lamp. (Fig. 20, Table 6)
The indicator will shut off approximately 3 seconds
after the remaining battery indicator switch is
pressed.
It is best to use the remaining battery indicator as
a guide since there are slight diff erences such as
ambient temperature and the condition of the battery.
Also, the remaining battery indicator may vary from
those equipped to a tool or charger.
The battery charge displayed on the remaining
battery indicator may sometimes diff er from the
remaining battery life indicated on applicable
products or from levels indicated by the battery
charger.
