1 - Description of the unit
The ANDROMEDA range of display units are built in modules with a useful internal length of 1980 mm (MODEL 210) and
2380 mm (MODEL 250). They are equipped with an integral condensing unit, with fan assisted refrigeration. FIG. 1
clearly shows the general look and dimensions of these units.
2 - Handling the unit
The unit comes with wooden packaging allowing handling by a forklift truck. Only authorised technicians should handle
the unit.
FIG. 2 shows the weight of the units in their various lengths and their lifting points.
3 - Receipt and storage
On delivery, check that the unit hasn't been damaged during transit. Check the condition of the packaging: if the
packaging is damaged, check the contents in the presence of the carrier.
For storage, make sure that the unit is protected against the atmospheric agents and stored at a temperature between -
25°C and +55°C; 30-95% relative humidity.
Take special care when unpacking the unit, as the packaging contains various parts and/or accessories needed to
complete the display unit (Grilles, Price Indicators, Dividers, etc.).
Remove the packaging from the cabinet.
Position the display cabinet in the desired installation place. Move the cabinet by lifting it; do not pull it from the side walls.
Warning: Inform the Manufacturer immediately if the goods arrive damaged: any delay in doing so relieves the
Manufacturer of all liability.
Any damage to the cabinet occurring during shipment and storage may not be attributed to the manufacturer.
4 - Installation and environmental conditions
The unit must sit on a perfectly leveled floor. When fully loaded, the display unit should not vibrate (see FIG. 3). The
efficiency of the unit may be compromised if this isn't perfectly leveled!
The display unit must never be placed in areas where explosive gas substances are used.
The unit should not be left outdoors or exposed to the rain (see FIG. 4).
The performance of the cabinet refers (according to the international standard EN ISO 23953-1/2) to environmental
climatic class 3 which consists of a room temperature of 25°C with relative humidity of 60%.
Sufficient space must be provided to guarantee good air circulation for the condenser (see FIG. 9). Do not place objects
in front of the condenser protection grid, as this could compromise the efficiency of the refrigerated display unit (see
FIG.5). The performance will be less than expected if the environmental conditions differ from those foreseen, or the
display units are exposed to air flows of more than 0.2m/sec or heat radiation.
To get around this problem, the User should send the Manufacturer details of the environmental conditions before
finalising the design of the units, so that the technical parameters and material options can be modified and the installer
be informed of the refrigerating power actually required.
5 - Assembly of cabinet
The operations of assembly of the cabinet should be carried out exclusively by authorized personnel.
Each frame must be anchored to the wall (minimum wall thickness 100 mm, concrete compressive strength 25 N/mm2)
using 6 toggles M8 (characteristics recommended for the toggles: tensile strength 4 kN, shear strength 4 Kn
Standard Top Structure - Removed (Fig. 6A)
- Mount the base structure by joining the side uprights (1) with the tie rods (2).
- Then level the structure throughout its length and depth.
- Fit the plastic tray (3) resting it on the "U" profile as sown in the picture.
- Fix the structure to the wall (4) as indicated at the beginning of section 5.
- Remove the cabinet from the wooden pallet (5)
- Place the cabinet on the structure previously mounted (6)
- Secure the cabinet to the structure (7) using the supplied screws
- Fix the structure to the wall (8) as shown earlier in section 5.
- Insert the water drain hoses in the plastic tray.
- Fit the front covers to complete the cabinet (9) (10) (11).
Standard Top Structure - Installed (Fig. 6B)
- Unscrew the wooden tables placed under the cabinet (1).
- Lift the cabinet and place it in its final position (2).
- Then level the structure throughout its length and depth.
- Fix the structure to the wall (3)(4) as indicated at the beginning of section 5.
- Remove the transport sheets (5) (6).
