Assembly
 Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
Changing the Sanding Tools
You can use the SDS mount 11 on the sander spindle 1 to eas-
ily and conveniently change the sanding tool without using ad-
ditional tools.
When the power tool is switched off, the autolock system
locks the sander spindle. The sanding tools/accessories can
be mounted and removed better from a locked sander spin-
dle.
The lamella rolls 10, sanding wheels or wire brushes can be
attached directly to the sander spindle 1.
Sanding sleeves 9 first have to be attached to the shank 8.
Mounting the Sanding Tools (see figure A)
– Hold the sanding tool so that the SDS interface 12 points
away from the sander spindle 1 .
– Slide the sanding tool onto the sander spindle 1 in a turn-
ing motion until you hear it engage.
– Check the latching by pulling the tool.
Mounting the Sanding Sleeves (see figure B)
– Wind the sanding sleeve 9 over the shank 8 until the rubber
fins are completely covered.
Dismantling the Sanding Tool (see figures C1 –C2)
– Press the SDS actuator button 13 to unlock it and pull the
sanding tool off the sander spindle 1.
Dust Extraction Hood
Note: When working with wire brushes, always use the pro-
vided dust extraction hood.
Mounting the Dust Extraction Hood (see figure D)
– Mount the dust extraction hood 2 by pushing it (against
slight resistance) to the stop into the two fastening
grooves 15 of tool arm 14.
– Tighten the clamping screw 4.
The dust extraction hood is now firmly mounted on the tool
arm.

Adjusting the Dust Extraction Hood (see figure E)
 Adjust the dust extraction hood 2 so that dust or sparks
are not guided towards the operator.
The dust extraction hood 2 can cover the sander spindle at
various angles to protect the operator. This is done using the
latching grooves 16.
– Once it has been mounted, turn the dust extraction hood 2
towards the handle 5 to suit the application and workpiece
shape.
The dust extraction hood locks into three positions.

Dust/Chip Extraction

 Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coatings,
some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to
one's health. Touching or breathing-in the dusts can cause
allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of
the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are considered
as carcinogenic, especially in connection with wood-treat-
ment additives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials
containing asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– As far as possible, use a dust extraction system suita-
ble for the material.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the
materials to be worked.
 Prevent dust accumulation at the workplace. Dusts can
easily ignite.
External Dust Extraction (see figure F)
– Insert a vacuum hose (diameter 19 mm; accessory) into
the vacuum connection 3. Connect the vacuum hose to a
vacuum cleaner (accessory).
An overview for connecting to different vacuum cleaners can
be found at the end of these operating instructions.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the material being
worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially detrimental to
health or carcinogenic, use a special vacuum cleaner.
Operation
 Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
 When working with the machine, always hold it firmly
with both hands and provide for a secure stance. The
power tool is guided more secure with both hands.

Starting Operation

 Observe the mains voltage! The voltage of the power
source must correspond with the data on the type plate
of the machine.
Switching On and Off
– To start the machine, push the On/Off switch 6 forward so
that the "1" is indicated on the switch.
To save energy, only switch the power tool on when using it.
