Changing the chain
speed
The device automatically starts at the
higher chain speed (21 m/s). By pressing
the High/Low button (27), you can switch
between chain speeds (15 and 21 m/s).
The High or Low LED of the chain speed
indicator (25) shows which chain speed is
currently operating.

Checking the chain
brake
The motor cannot be turned on if the
chain brake has engaged. Do not
employ the chain brake in order to
start the chainsaw or to switch it off.
1. Place the chainsaw onto a solid, flat
surface. It must not contact any objects.
2. Ensure that the chain brake has been
released, that is, that the chain brake
lever (5) is pulled up against the front
grip (4).
