14. Function of an optional signal
generator / optional door release
button
14.1 Optional signal generator
When the doorbell button [25] on the outdoor station to which the
signal generator is attached is pressed, the signal generator is
activated for approx. 3 seconds.
The outdoor station DVT60T2 has only one wired output for a signal
generator. This output is assigned to the upper doorbell button, i.e. the
family who needs the signal generator has to choose the upper doorbell
button.
14.2 Optional door release button
When the door release button is pressed, the door release that is
connected to the same outdoor station as the door release button is
activated for the time set on the mobile unit.
15. Tamper alarm
If a paired outdoor station that is connected to the power supply or
which has batteries fitted is removed from the protective cover, a
pulsating tamper alarm sounds on the outdoor station and the mobile
unit for approx. 5 minutes.

To switch off the tamper alarm, press the on/off button

16. Wireless range
The wireless range is dependent on many factors. In an ideal location
and by free line of sight between both antennas) a range of approx.
100 - 150 m is possible, within buildings this is reduced to maybe 20
m. The range cannot be guaranteed as it is dependent on the local
conditions.
In order to avoid malfunctions, only one wireless system should be fitted for
each monitoring location/building/home.
A reduction of the range will be caused by:

Walls and ceilings, in particular those of metal or with metal
reinforcement

17. Changing the batteries
17.1 Outdoor station
If no sound can be heard after pressing the door bell button [25] or if a
flashing red battery symbol
(
screen and
there is only one bar in the battery status indicator [6], then
the batteries must be changed.
In this case:
!
First release the torx screw [33] with the torx screwdriver [41]
provided and remove it.
!
Lever the outdoor station [20] out of the protective cover [32]. If a
tamper alarm sounds despite the battery charge being low, switch
it off on the mobile unit by pressing the
!
Unscrew the battery compartment [30] cover screw and remove
the cover.
!
Remove the expired batteries and place 2 new LR14 (C), 1.5 V
alkaline batteries in the battery compartment observing the
correct polarity.
!
Re-attach the battery compartment cover to the door intercom
with the screw.
!
Push the door intercom into the protective cover and screw it into
position again with the security screw.
17.2 Mobile unit
If the charging capacity of the battery inserted is no longer adequate,
replace the weak battery by:
!
sliding the battery compartment cover [11] on the mobile unit
down,
!
removing the battery,
!
inserting a new battery (3.7 V, 1100 mAh) with the terminals in
the correct position and
!
sliding the cover back into place.
!
Before using the new battery for the first time, allow it to charge
up fully for 5 hours.
18. Maintenance and cleaning
#
The products are maintenance-free: Never open this, except when
changing batteries.
#
Check the safety and function regularly.
#
Remove the mains adapters from the mains sockets or disconnect
from the power supply before cleaning.
#
Use a soft, slightly moist cloth or brush to clean the surfaces.
