d) Driving the vehicle
• Improper use can cause serious injury and damage to property! Only use the vehicle when it is within
your sight.
• Only use the vehicle when you are fully alert and able to respond. As is the case when driving a real
vehicle, fatigue, alcohol or medication can affect your ability to react.
• This model vehicle must not be used on public roads, spaces or paths. Do not use the vehicle on private
land without the landowner's permission.
Never use the model in an area that may endanger other people, animals or objects. Do not drive
towards animals or people!
Before you use the model in a specially designated area (e.g. model car racing/rally track), make sure
to ask the operator's permission.
• Avoid driving in very low outdoor temperatures. Plastic parts lose their elasticity at cold temperatures,
which means a minor accident could lead to major damage.
• Do not use the vehicle during thunderstorms, under high-voltage power lines or next to radio masts.
• Protect the vehicle, drive batteries and transmitter from moisture and heavy dirt. Do not expose your
model and the transmitter to direct sunlight or excessive heat for an extended period of time.
• Always leave the transmitter turned on when the vehicle is in use.
• In the event of a fault, discontinue use immediately and establish the cause of the problem before using
the model again.
• To stop the vehicle, always switch the vehicle off first. Then switch the transmitter off. Remove the two
drive batteries if you do not plan to drive the vehicle for an extended period of time (e.g. for storage).
• If batteries in the transmitter are weak, the transmission range will decrease and the vehicle will no
longer respond to the control commands on the transmitter. In this case, stop driving the vehicle and
switch it off. Replace the batteries in the transmitter.
• If the drive battery in the vehicle is weak, the vehicle will become slower or no longer respond correctly
to the transmitter.
The drive batteries in the vehicle are not only used for supplying the motor via the integrated speed
controller, but also power the receiver and the steering servo.
For this purpose, the speed controller has an integrated BEC ("Battery Eliminator Circuit", electronic
circuit for the direct supply of power to the receiver without additional receiver battery).
If the voltage in the drive battery is too low, the receiver will be affected, causing the vehicle to no longer
respond to the control commands from the transmitter.
In this case, stop driving the vehicle immediately (switch the vehicle and transmitter off). Replace or
charge the drive batteries.
Before charging the batteries, allow them to cool fully.
• The motor and drive mechanism as well as the electronic system and drive battery of the vehicle become
hot during operation. Wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before each battery change.
• Do not touch the motor, the speed controller/receiver or the battery until they have cooled. Risk of burns!
