Symptom
Overhead heat is too hot.
Overhead heat is not hot
enough.
Base heat is too hot.
Base heat is not hot enough.
No heat.
No heat and no lights.

Probable Cause
Upper Heat control knob(s) set too high.
Upper Heat control(s) defective.
Unit plugged into incorrect/high voltage.
Upper Heat control knob(s) set too low.
Upper Heat control(s) defective.
Heating elements not working.
Excessive air movement around warming station.
Base Heat control knob set too high.
Base Heat control defective.
Unit plugged into incorrect/high voltage.
Base Heat control knob set too low.
Base Heat control defective.
Base heating element not working.
Excessive air movement around warming station.
Heating elements not working.
Temperature controls not working properly.
Unit plugged into incorrect/low voltage.
Power I/O (on/off) switch turned O (off).
Unit not plugged in or outlet not working.

TROUBLEShOOTING GUIDE

ELECTRIC ShOCK hAzARD: Turn OFF power switch,
unplug power cord, and allow unit to cool before
performing any cleaning, adjustments, or maintenance.
adjust Upper Heat control knob(s) to a lower setting.
Contact authorized Service agent or Hatco for
assistance.
Verify that voltage supply matches electrical information
listed on the unit.
adjust Upper Heat control knob(s) to a higher setting.
Contact authorized Service agent or Hatco for
assistance.
Contact authorized Service agent or Hatco for
assistance.
Relocate unit or redirect air movement (i.e. exhaust
fans/hoods, air conditioning ducts, or exterior doors)
away from unit.
adjust Base Heat control knob to a lower setting.
Contact authorized Service agent or Hatco for
assistance.
Verify that voltage supply matches electrical information
listed on the unit.
adjust Base Heat control knob to a higher setting.
Contact authorized Service agent or Hatco for
assistance.
