c) Connection
1
1 Low-voltage round socket for connection of the external power supply, 12 V/DC, 3 A
Connect this socket to the low voltage round plug of the enclosed mains adapter. Then connect the mains adapter
to a mains socket with a protective contact via the associated mains cable.
2 "HDMI-IN": HDMI-socket (digital input)
The HDMI socket can be connected via a suitable cable, e.g. to a corresponding output of a DVR, a digital receiver,
a computer or Blu-ray or DVD player.
When the playback device permits the setting of the monitor resolution, observe that no higher resolution is set.
Otherwise, the screen shows no image or only an error message.
If the HDMI-input is activated, the monitor issues the audio signal contained in the HDMI AV signal and received
via the integrated speaker (instead of the audio signal of an analogue audio input "A-IN").
3 "VGA-IN": VGA socket (analogue input)
Connect the VGA-socket to the analogue VGA output of a computer (or the VGA output of another device).
Do not set a higher resolution than 1280 x 1024 at the playback device (e.g. at the connected computer) (image
repeat frequency max. 60 Hz). Otherwise, the screen shows no image or only an error message.
4 "V-IN1": BNC socket (analogue input 1 for video signal)
For example, a monitoring camera with analogue video output can be connected here. If your camera has no
BNC-connection, the corresponding adapters are available in accessories trade.
5 "V-IN2": BNC socket (analogue input 2 for video signal)
As for the video input 1, e.g., a monitoring camera with analogue video output can be connected here. If your
camera has no BNC-connection, the corresponding adapters are available in accessories trade.
6 "V-OUT": BNC socket (analogue video output)
The signal pending at the video input "V-IN1" is passed through here to be recorded, e.g., on an external recorder.
When switching to another video input ("HDMI-IN", "VGA-IN" or "V-IN2"), the video output continues to show the
image of video input "V-IN1".
7 "A-IN": Plug socket 3.5 mm (analogue audio input)
The input can be connected, e.g. to the audio output of your computer, via a suitable cable (not enclosed). The
monitor issues the audio signal via the integrated speaker.
8 "A-OUT": Plug socket 3.5 mm (analogue audio output)
The audio signal that you feed in at the analogue audio input (7) is passed through here, e.g. to record it on an
external recorder.
