6. Battery Notes
• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Do not leave any batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed by children or pets. If
swallowed, consult a doctor immediately. Danger to life!
• Leaking or damaged batteries may cause chemical burns to skin when touched. Use adequate protective gloves
in this case.
Liquids leaking from batteries are chemically highly aggressive. Objects or surfaces that come into contact with
them may take severe damage. Therefore, keep batteries in a suitable location.
• Make sure that batteries are not short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into fire. There is a danger of explosion!
• Replace an empty battery in the IR remote control as soon as possible against a new one or removed the used-up
battery from the IR remote control. An empty battery may leak and damage the IR remote control. Loss of warranty/
guarantee!
• Make sure that the battery is inserted in the IR remote control with the correct polarity (observe positive/+ and
negative/-).
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries, observe the chapter "Disposal".
7. Commissioning
a) Inserting Battery in the IR Remote Control, Battery Replacement
The battery may already be inserted in the IR remote control. If a small plastic strip is present in the battery
compartment, pull it out. It serves to protect against premature discharge of the battery.
• Check during first commissioning whether the battery compartment of the IR remote control has a plastic protective
strip. If so, pull it out. The IR remote control is then ready for use.
• A battery change is required if the range of the IR remote control drops or the monitor no longer reacts to the IR
remote control at all.
• The locking clip at the battery compartment must be unlatched, e.g. with a flat screwdriver, upon which the battery
holder and battery can be pulled out.
Replace the empty battery with a new one of type CR2025. Always observe the correct polarity (plus/+ and
minus/-) when inserting the battery. The plus pole of the battery is marked with the icon "+" and must point towards
the bottom of the IR remote control.
Push the battery holder back into the IR remote control. Observe correct orientation. Do not apply any force!
