• Always ensure that your hands are dry before handling the plug, switch or power cord.
• Never lean over the fryer when opening the lid, as any trapped steam created by the frying process will be released when the lid is opened.
• Make sure that there is no water left in the lid or reservoir before you use the fryer.
• An electrical appliance is not a toy, and should therefore always be placed outside the reach of children. Children are not always able to
understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.
• If you use an extension lead make sure that it is an approved, earthed lead.
• Should you decide not to use the appliance anymore, make it inoperative by cutting the power cord after removing the plug from the socket. We
also recommend making all potentially dangerous parts of the appliance harmless, particularly for children who might be tempted to play with it.
• Never immerse the heating element, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid to protect against electrical
hazards.
• If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for
any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.

Before use
Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material.
Keep the material (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance after unpacking for any damage, possible from
transportation. Before plugging into a socket, check that the voltage in your home corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the
appliance. Put the appliance on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface. Remove the lid and the basket and wash by hand in soapy water. Dry
thoroughly. Make sure that they are completely dry. Wipe the exterior and interior of the reservoir with a damp cloth. Make sure that the reservoir is
completely dry. The fryer can not operate if the reservoir is fitted incorrectly.
Fill the reservoir with liquid frying oil between the minimum and maximum level, approx. 4 liters. Ensure that you don't add less than the minimum
capacity. Inside the reservoir you will find two lines which indicate the minimum and maximum level.
Attention: this fryer can only be used with liquid frying oil. Never use hard fats.
The handle of the basket can be stored in the basket by folding it in. Squeeze the two handle wires together and push the handle forwards over the
locking clip. Only store the handle when the oil is fully cooled down. Ensure the handle is connected securely to the basket
before operating the fryer again! For the best result in a coolzone fryer, always fry without the lid.
Frying
Put the appliance on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface. Before plugging into a socket, check that the voltage in your home corresponds with
the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance. This appliance must be connected to an earthed socket. Check if the handle is connected
securely and put in the plug. The power indicator - red - will light up. Turn the temperature control clockwise to the required temperature. The
thermostat lamp - green - will light up. The heating element will now heat up the oil.
Note: Always remove the handle out of the oil before heating, otherwise the plastic handle will melt.
When the required temperature has been reached the thermostat lamp - green - will extinguish and the fryer is ready to use. The thermostat lamp
will toggle On and Off as the thermostat in the fryer maintains the correct temperature. Add the desired quantity of food to the basket. Do not add
too much food at one time (never more than 2/3). Food should be as dry as possible to reduce the amount of water getting into the oil. Remove
the basket from the holding lugs and slowly lower into the hot oil. If you lower it too fast, the oil can splash.
When the food is cooked, lift the basket to the raised position and let the oil drain away.
Note: Battered or coated food, like fish, may stick to the basket. To prevent this, as soon as the basket has been lowered into the oil, use a slotted
spoon to lift the food away from the mesh.
Then allow cooking while gently moving the basket from side to side once or twice during cooking.
Never salt the product before or during cooking. This will contaminate the oil.
When you have finished cooking, turn the temperature control fully anti-clockwise to the Off-position and pull the plug.
TIPS
• The maximum food capacity is 150 grams of fries per liter oil.
• With frozen products use a maximum of 100 grams to prevent the oil to cool down too strong. Shake off the ice above the sink.
• If you are using oil that has been previously used, check the condition of the oil and replace if necessary. Oil needs to be replaced after 8-10
uses or as required. Do not mix different types of oil together.
• Be extremely careful never to leave your fryer in use for long periods. This has influence on the quality of the oil.
• If you make your own fries, thoroughly dry them after washing to make sure there will come no water in the oil.
• Fry the fresh fries in two times. The first time (pre-cooking) 5 to 10 minutes on 170 degrees. Lift the basket, let the oil drain away and leave the
fries to cool down for several minutes. For the second time turn the temperature control (cooking) to 190 degrees and cook the fries in 2 to 4
minutes. When the fries are cooked, lift the basket to the raised position and let the oil drain away. Place the fries on a kitchen towel to let it soak
up the excess oil.
• Replace the oil after you have cooked fish in it. Fish has a strong aroma and this taste will go on the other products.
