Do not use any caustic or abrasive
cleaning agents to clean the device.
These could damage the surface. Do
not use any metal objects to remove
dirt from the bottom of the iron.
•
If necessary, wipe down the device
with a damp cloth and then allow it
to dry.
•
If there is no longer any water in the
water tank (7) (see the "Use" chapter

Self-Cleaning Function
Please Note!
■
Hot water and steam will emerge
from the bottom of the iron during
the self-cleaning process. Keep the
bottom of the iron away from all body
parts and delicate materials when the
On / Off button for self-cleaning is
pressed!
■
Only ever press the On / Off button
for self-cleaning to perform self-clean-
ing and not during ironing!
As the temperature drops quickly
with this function, we recommend
that the iron should be connected
to the adapter (11) and connect-
ed to the mains power.
The device has a self-cleaning function al-
lowing limescale residues to be removed
from the device. Additional descaling of
the device is not necessary. Perform the
following operations:

1. Make sure that the water tank (7) is
fi lled (see the "Filling the Water Tank"
section).
2. Connect the iron to the adapter (11)
and plug the mains plug into a plug
socket.
3. Place the iron with the adapter
upright on the ironing board or on a
stable, heat-resistant and moisture-re-
sistant surface.
4. Use the temperature control dial (15)
to select the temperature level MAX
and allow the device to heat up.
5. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink
or similar outlet.
6. Press and hold the self-cleaning but-
ton (13).
7. Allow the water tank to empty com-
pletely. Tilt the iron back and forth
slightly to allow the water to run out
of all nozzles.
8. Repeat the cleaning process several
times until no more limescale residues
emerge from the nozzles.
