Steam Iron
Vertical Steam-Ironing
Please Note!
■
For vertical ironing, the item of
clothing must hang on an iron with
suffi cient clearance all the way round
so that the heat and moisture does
not cause any damage.
■
Do not press the steam burst button
during the heating process in order
not to slow this down and to prevent
a danger of scalding from hot water
which may escape.
■
In the case of delicate fabrics, hold
the iron a few centimetres away from
the fabric.

As the temperature drops quickly
with this function, we recommend
that the iron should be connected
to the adapter (11) and connect-
ed to the mains power.
1. Make sure that the water tank (7) is
fi lled (see the "Filling the Water Tank"
section).
2. Follow instructions 1 – 5 in the previ-
ous "Ironing" chapter. When you do
this, note that the temperature control
dial (15) must be set to the MAX level.
3. As soon as the device has heated up,
hold the bottom of the iron upright,
with the tip tilted forwards slightly,
press the steam burst button (3) and
move the bottom of the iron (12) back
and forth on the fabric.
4. When the steam which emerges
becomes weaker and the heating
control lamp (16) lights up (because
the device is reheating), place the iron
in a horizontal position and allow it to
heat up. Do not turn the iron upside
down!
5. If the water tank is empty, steam will
no longer be produced. Follow the
instructions in the "Filling the Water
Tank" section to refi ll it.
Spray Function
The spray function is suitable, for exam-
ple, for moistening delicate textiles which
cannot be steam-ironed. This function is
possible at any temperature.
The water tank (7) needs to be fi lled (see
the "Filling the Water Tank" section).
• Press the spray button (6) a few
times. Water will be sprayed through
the spray nozzle (1) onto the fabric.
After Use
1. After ironing, place the iron upright
on its base (10) or adapter (11).
2. Pull the mains plug out of the plug
socket.
3. Allow the bottom of the iron (12) to
cool down completely.
4. Empty the water tank (7): Open the
water tank lid (2) , hold the iron over a
sink or similar outlet and turn it upside
down. Allow all of the water to run out
of the water tank.
5. Connect the iron to the mains power
again.
6. Use the temperature control dial (15)
to select the temperature level MAX
and allow the device to heat up.
7. Press the steam burst button (3) until
the rest of the water evaporates.
8. Disconnect the device from the mains
and allow it to cool down completely.
