CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!

Do not use any caustic or abrasive
cleaning agents to clean the device.
These may damage the surface. Do
not use any metal objects to remove
dirt from the bottom of the iron.
•
If necessary, wipe down the device
with a damp cloth and then allow it
to dry.
•
If there is no longer any water in the
water tank (8) (see the "Use" chapter
– "After Use"), wind up the connect-
ing cable.
•
Store the device in a dry, clean, frost-
free place that is not accessible to
children and animals.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly,
check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot
be solved with the steps below, contact
the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an elec-
trical device yourself!
The device does not work.
The mains plug is not inserted in the plug
socket correctly.
► Correct the fit of the mains plug.
The plug socket is defective.
► Try another plug socket.
There is no mains voltage.
► Check the fuse of the electrical dis-
tributor (fuse box).
No steam is produced.
The water tank (8) is empty.
► Top up the water tank.
The device has not yet reached the oper-
ating temperature.
► Wait until the temperature level indi-
cator on the display (13) is constantly
lit and is no longer flashing.
A low temperature level has been set.
► Select a higher temperature level.
The steam production has not yet been
initiated.
► Press the steam button (4) two to
three times.
At high temperatures the steam pro-
duced is dry and almost invisible. This is
exacerbated by a high ambient temper-
ature.
► Set a lower temperature to check
whether the device is producing
steam.
The device has not been moved for some
time and the automatic safety switch-off
function has been activated.
► Move the device or press any button
to switch it back on.
Water emerges from the bottom of
the iron.
A low temperature level has been set.
► Select a higher temperature level.
The water tank (8) is overfilled.
► Pour away some water.
The device makes loud pumping
noises.
The water tank (8) is empty.
► Top up the water tank.
A strange odour is produced.
You might notice a slight odour caused
by production residues the first time you
use the device. However, this is harmless
and will cease as you use the device.
