Maintenance and cleaning

Regular cleaning increases the life span of the unit and
reduces the occurrence of common problems.
Cleaning the detergent drawer
Clean the detergent drawer regularly (every 4-5 wash
cycles ) as shown below, to prevent the build-up of powder
detergent over time.
Lift up the back of the U-bend to remove it as shown in the
diagram.
If an abnormal amount of water and fabric softener mixture
begins to form in the fabric softener compartment, the
U-bend should be cleaned.
1. Press on the dotted marks above the U-bend in the fabric
softener compartment, then pull it towards you until the
compartment comes out of the machine.
2. Wash the detergent drawer and the U-bend with warm
water in a basin.

Useful information
To prevent residue from coming into contact with your skin,
clean it with a suitable brush, wearing a pair of gloves.
3. After cleaning, replace the drawer in its original location
and ensure that it is securely in place.
Cleaning the door and the drum
For washing machines with a drum cleaning programme,
see «Product Operation - Programmes».
NOTE:
Clean the drum every 2 months.
Use a descaler suitable for use in a washing machine.
After each wash, make sure that no foreign objects have
remained in the drum.
If the holes on the joint shown in the diagram below are
blocked, unblock them using a toothpick.
