• When installing/mounting the device, make sure that the connection cables are neither
pinched nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Never pour fl uids on electrical devices.
• Maintenance, adjustments and repairs may only be carried out by a qualifi ed specialist
or a specialised repair shop.

5. Battery Notes

• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Please observe the polarity (positive/+ and negative/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of them being swallowed by children
or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Do not short-circuit or dismantle batteries/rechargeable batteries and do not throw them into
fi re. There is a danger of explosion!
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a danger of explosion! Only charge re-
chargeable batteries intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If the device will not be used for a longer period (e.g. in case of storage), remove the inserted
battery. If batteries are too old, they may leak and cause damage to the product, which leads to
the cancellation of the warranty/guarantee.
• For the proper disposal of (rechargeable) batteries, please read the section "Disposal".
