4. Safety Notices

The guarantee/warranty will be void if damage is incurred resulting from non-com-
pliance with the operating instructions. We will not assume any responsibility for
consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by
improper use or failure to observe the safety notices. In such cases the warranty/
guarantee is void.
• The access system may not be modifi ed or rebuilt, as not only will the CE approval be-
come void but also the warranty/guarantee.
• The access system should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, intense vibration or
heavy mechanical stress.
• The device can be damaged when dropped from a low height.
• If the access system is used in connection with other devices e.g. a door opener, the
operating instructions and safety instructions of the connected devices must also be
observed closely.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the access system requires a while to stabilize, to
adjust to the new surrounding temperature, before it can be used.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Please contact qualifi ed personnel if you are unsure concerning the safety or the correct
use of the product.
• Never let the packaging material lie around unattended. Plastic foil / bags etc. can be-
come a dangerous toy for children; there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect the
appliance immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It must be assumed that the safe operation is no longer possible, if:
- the device shows visible damage
- the device no longer functions
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions over a long period of time or
- following considerable stress during transportation.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability
Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
• The access system is suitable for outdoor use (IP44).
• The mains voltage is 12V/DC (+/-10%).
• Make sure that all electrical connections and connection cables between the different
devices and any extension cables comply with the regulations and the operating instruc-
tions.
