FITTING
1. Check to ensure that you have all the necessary parts..
2. On the lower edge of the bumper remove the 2 plastic plugs and 4 screws .
3. To improve access to the outside chassis rail, the black protective moulding must be removed either side. This is achieved by removing
1 plug at the rear, a plug on the inside of the arch and 1 plastic nut each side.
4. On the chassis rails remove sealant tape, which will reveal square slots. These can be difficult to see due to paint.
5. Input M10 cage nuts (B) into the chassis rail ensuring that a positive fit is carried out and the cage nut hole recess aligns. See figure 1 to
3.
6. Loosely bolt the two side arms (E) to the cage nuts using fasteners (F).
7. Unmask the black tape to expose the captive nut on the underside of the chassis. Bolt angle (D) to the side arm (E) and then locate to
the underside of chassis using Bolt ( J). Carry out for both sides.
8. To attach the cross tube, bend down lower bumper tabs and insert cross bar (A) behind bumper. Attach to the fitted side arms (E) use
bolts (G) and fully tighten.
9. Note:- Due to the level of adjustment , push the main frame upwards ensuring the towball will be in its full upright position whilst
tightening bolts (F) to hold in position. Tighten the remaining bolts to their recommended torque ensuring the tow bar still in its highest
position.
10. Refit the protective mouldings and the lower bumper fixings.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the tow bar.. Please refer to the vehicle specification for the
trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm (Grade 10.9-139Nm), M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
