Fitting instructions
1)
Disassemble the rear-light units and the bumper. Remove the inner coating and the floorcovering in the trunk and permanently
remove the metal buffer beam.
2)
Shove the mounting piece (-h) and (-i) through the openings in the rear, in the chassis beams so that the points (A) and (B)
match the drillings where the buffer beam was attached. Point (C) is already provided but is covered by the bitumen coating.
Remove this coating on the place of fastening.
Place by (A) and (B) the mounting slices (-l) and insert the bolts. Place by (B) the tube (-m) in the chassis beam through the
big opening in the rear. Place the necessary washers but do not tighten yet. Insert by points (A), (B) and (C) the necessary
bolts, washers and nuts but do not tighten.
3)
Place afterwards the towbar between the 2 mounting pieces (-h) and (-i) so that the points (D) and (D') of the towbar match
those of the mounting pieces. Insert the necessary bolts, washers and nuts and tighten everything firmly as on tension.
For vehicles from 2000-20003
Make an incision in the underside of the bumper as on sketch 1 enclosed. Fasten the synthetic buffer beam with adhesive
tape on the towbar and re-assemble the bumper.
Assemble the 2 bumper supports (-j) and (-k) with the points (F) on the corner fixation of the bumper (with which it was
fixed on the buffer beam) and with point (G) on the provided drilling in the body work plate of the vehicle. Insert the bolts
and tighten firmly.
For vehicles as from 2003
Make an incision in the underside of the bumper as on sketch 2 enclosed. Work out the buffer beam on a level with the
fixation of the corners of the towbar (see photo 1).
Place the 2 bumper supports (-n) with the points (O) on the towbar, insert the bolts, washers and nuts but do not tighten (see
photo 2). Place mounting pieces (-r) and (-q) on the support in the middle of the towbar (see photo 3), insert the bolts,
washers and nuts and tighten firmly. Place afterwards the corner supports (-s) and (-t) with point (U) on the provided drilling
in the body work plate of the vehicle (see photo 4). Insert the bolts but do not tighten.
Replace the bumper and screw afterwards the bolts of (O) and (U) firmly on.
4)
Re-assemble the rear-light units. Assemble the towbar (*) together with the security shackle and the socket holder and tighten
according to tension.
