Installing the electrical kit
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the spare wheel.
3. If necessary, remove the following covers and panels:

In the luggage compartment
Covering of luggage trunk bottom

Covering of the rear end plate

Left-hand side covering
-

Inside the vehicle
Access strips, left side

Lower dashboard covering
-
Lower A-pillar covering

4. Drill a hole of 39 mm for the cable leadthrough (Fig. 1/6) through the rear end plate on the
left-hand side of the spare wheel well in a suitable flat place.
5. Starting in the luggage trunk, lead the socket end of the cable harness through the cable
leadthrough to the outside and from there to the socket holder plate (Fig. 1/10).
6. Insert the rubber grommet into the cable leadthrough (Fig. 1/9).
Installing the socket
7. Press the contact insert into the socket housing and push the rubber grommet towards the
socket.
8. Screw the socket onto the socket holder plate (Fig. /10) using the supplied screws and nuts.
Connecting the tail lights
9. Lay the cable ends with the green and black cable to the back-up light (Fig. 1/11) and the
grey and black cable to the rear fog light (Fig. 1/7).
10. Disconnect the plugs and connect it to the appropriate counterparts of the cable harness.
Make sure that the plugs lock firmly into place.
11. Lay the cable end marked "left" to the left-hand tail light (Fig. 1/6) and the cable end marked
"right" along the rear end plate to the right-hand tail light (Fig. 1/13).
12. Disconnect the plug-in connector of the tail light and connect it to the matching counterparts
on the cable harness. Make sure that the plugs lock firmly into place.
Connecting the trailer control module
13. Secure the trailer control module (Fig. 1/5) to the left-hand wheel housing, using some velcro
tape.
14. Plug the 12-pin plug and the 18-pin plug into the trailer control module.
15. Connect the black wires with the eyelet to the vehicle's ground point (Fig. 1/6).
