III. APPLICATION
The stripper is designed to be used with copper and aluminum cables and wires of
different diameters.
We do not take any responsibility for improper use. Any damage resulting from a non-
conform use of the device has to be paid by the user!
IV. BEFORE FIRST USE
Upon receipt of the goods, check the packaging for integrity and open it. If the packaging
is damaged, please contact your transport company and distributor within 3 days, and
document the damages as detailed as possible. Do not turn the package upside down!
When transporting the package, please ensure to keep it horizontal and stable. Please
keep all packaging materials (cardboard, plastic tapes and styrofoam), so that in case of
return, the device can be sent back to the service centre in accurate condition.
V. USE OF THE DEVICE
1.
Fix the device in a sturdy location using all holes designed for mounting.
2.
Turn the crank and insert cable / wire into an appropriate cutting channel. Make
sure the cable / wire ends are free from any plugs etc. Cable / wire diameter should
be adjusted to the cutting channel size. If a cable / wire is inserted into the wrong
channel (e.g. a cable is inserted into a channel that is too tight) there is a risk the
device will jam. Cable / wire length should not exceed 90 cm. Do not insert more
than one cable at a time into the cutting channels.
3.
A stripped cable / wire is ejected on the other side of the device. To avoid tangling,
jamming and/or device damage make sure the area surrounding the device is free
from any obstacles so that ejected material could fall unhindered.
4.
If the wires / cables have not been stripped properly (cuts are too shallow or
too deep) adjust using the adjusters (12). Tightening will cause increasesd cutting
pressure, loosening – decreased cutting pressure.
5.
If a cable / wire jams between the cutting blades make sure the adjusters are not
tightened too much. Such jams may also be caused by excessive oil on the cables /
wires - clean the cables / wires and the cutting blades themselves.
6.
If the blade is not cutting along the center of the wire/cable, the blade may be off
center. To adjust this, unscrew the nut screws on both sides of the device ((1) – the
picture below). Adjust the blade alignment using the adjuster bolts (10) ((2) – the
picture below) on the two hold adjuster plates.
