Vorbildinformation:
Der Vectron gehört auf europäischen Gleisen zu
den neuesten Lokomotiven und besitzt durch den
markanten Frontbereich schon viele Fans. Die Bau-
reihe findet durch den steten, fast täglichen Zuwachs
an neuen Loks in vielen Ausführungen für die
unterschiedlichsten Eisenbahnunternehmen immer
größere Verbreitung und darf schon jetzt als eine
der bedeutsamsten europäischen Loks angesehen
werden. Die Ausführung als elektrische Lok mit
6400 kW und einer Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 200
km/h ist als Ablösung des bekannten EuroSprinters
und seiner Weiterentwicklung ES 2007 konzipiert.
Der dieselelektrische Vectron DE hat eine Leistung
von 2,4 MW und eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von
160 km/h. Die Fahrzeuge sind konstruktiv für den
grenzüberschreitenden Güter- und Personenverkehr
geeignet.

The prototype:
The Vectron is one of the latest locomotives on
European tracks and already has many fans thanks to
the distinctive front section. The series is used more
and more frequently due to the constant - almost
daily - increase in new locos in many versions for the
most diverse railway companies. It can already be
considered as one of the most important European
locomotives. The version as electrical locomotive with
6,400 kW and a top speed of 200 km/h is designed as
replacement of the well-known EuroSprinter and its
further development ES 2007. The diesel-electric DE
has a power of 2.4 MW and a top speed of 160 km/h.
In terms of construction, the vehicles are suitable
for cross-border freight train service and passenger
transport.
