Application
Kongskilde Multiair blowers are
designed for use in connec tion with
pneumatic conveyors.
No materials must be allowed to
pass through the fan.
The Multiair blowers are not intend-
ed for corrosive gases, and the air
temperature must not exceed 70°C.
Safety
-
See that all protection caps are
intact and pro perly secured dur-
ing operation.
-
Do not use motors and trans-
mission arrangements requiring
fan speeds higher than pre-
scribed in the technical data.
-
Always stop the blower prior
to repair and maintenance and
avoid unintentional start of op-
eration.
-
Before opening the control box
always disconnect the safety
switch in the control box.
(To be opened by aut horized
personnel only).
-
Never put your hand into the
inlet or outlet opening of the
blower during operation.
-
If the blower is to be moved,
use a fork-lift or the like grab-
bing under the base frame of the
blower.
Wiring
Check that the local mains supply
meets the motor and electric equip-
ment specifications.
Wiring must be effected by a certi-
fied electrician.
The direction of rotation of the
blower rotor should be clock wise
viewed from the inlet side.
Installation
The Multiair blower is supplied from
the factory ready for use and only
requires connection to the mains
supply and pipelines.
Mount the blower on a solid and
plane base.
Allow during erection for easy ac-
cess for repair and main-tenan ce.
Adjust the mounting flanges under
the blower to provide uniform sup-
port.
See that there is unimpeded access
for cooling air to the room housing
the blower. The blower is designed
for max. 40°C cooling air.
Start and stop
Start
Start the blower by pressing the
green knob on the control panel.
The blower has a built-in automatic
star/delta starter.
When the fan is operating, the yel-
low lamp on the control panel is on.
If the motor is overloaded, the pro-
tective thermal switch in the control
box cuts out to stop the blower. At
the same time the red lamp on the
control panel is on. To restart the
protec tive switch open the control
box (by authorized personnel only).
Do not forget to disconnect the
safety switch before opening the
control box.
The control panel houses an am-
meter, a time meter and a pres sure
gauge. If the Multiair blower is de-
signed for suction conveyance, the
pressure gauge shows the pressure
rise across the blower. If the Multi-
air is used for pressure convey-
ance. the pressure gauge shows
the pressure at the blower outlet.
Stop
Stop the blower by pressing the red
knob on the control panel.
