3� When the Status LED (1) on the pick-up
lights up, the pick-up transmits a signal to
the RingFlash 250 base station�
4� The RingFlash 250 base station continues
to signal an alarm until the smoke alarm
ceases to sound an alarm� (Refer to the
operating manual supplied with the smoke
alarm�)
If the pick-up does not detect the acoustic
signals, first reduce the distance between
the pick-up and RingFlash 250 base stati-
on�
If the acoustic signals cannot be picked
up properly, it is possible that the door
bell ringing volume is too low�
Set the door bell to a louder volume or
adjust the sensitivity of the integrated mi-
crophone from "Lo" to "Hi". The switch for
this is located inside the pick-up� Open
the pick-up as described in "Preparing the
pick-up"�
Connecting an external microphone
If the acoustic signals cannot be picked
up properly by the internal microphone
or the pick-up cannot be mounted on the
device to be monitored, you can connect
an external microphone�
1� Install the pick-up near the device to be
monitored�
2� Use the tape supplied to fix the micro-
phone to the loudspeaker to the device to
be monitored�
3� Insert the connection plug from the
external microphone in the jack socket (6)
of the pick-up�
