Using the RingFlash 250
6� Screw the housing screw (5) back in the
housing (2) of the pick-up�
7� Insert the pick-up in the holder. Pay atten-
tion that the pick-up is fitted the right way
around in the holder. The latches for the
holder (3) on the pick-up help you to find
the correct installation position�
Assembling on a door bell
1� Use the tape supplied to attach the holder
of the pick-up on the doorbell. Position the
holder so that the large opening in the hol-
der is over the doorbell's sound generator�
2� Press your doorbell.
3� When the Status LED (1) on the pick-up
lights up, the pick-up transmits a signal to

the base station�

Assembling on a smoke alarm
1� Use the tape supplied to fix the pick-up
holder beside the smoke alarm. Position
the holder so that the pick-up is installed
as close as possible to the sound genera-
tor of the smoke alarm�
Never install the pick-up directly on the
smoke alarm. If you position the pick-up
directly on the smoke alarm, the function
of the smoke alarm can no longer be gua-
ranteed�
2� Activate the test function of your smoke
alarm� (Refer to the operating manual
supplied with the smoke alarm�)
The pick-up must be exposed to a smoke
alarm signal for 5 seconds. The transmis-
sion only triggers the RingFlash 250 base
station after this period�
