Problem
Unit blasts
continuously.
Lamp does not go on.
Compressed air leaking
from the foot switch.
Foot switch fails to
switch on.
Quick-stop not
functioning (the nozzle
blasts continuously).
Sound of rushing
air when the unit is
operating.
Foot switch
hoses cannot be
disconnected from the
unit.
Possible cause
• Foot switch connected incorrectly.
• Valve in foot switch is defective.
• Power cord not plugged in.
• Fluorescent tube defective.
• Faulty electronics.
• Fluorescent tube not properly
seated in the socket.
• Pneumatic hoses reversed.
• No pressure at the compressed air
connection.
• Pneumatic hoses are kinked.
• Pneumatic connections are loose.
• Sandblasting hose worn.
• Insuffi cient pressure at the
maintenance unit.
• Outer pressure regulator on the
maintenance unit is altered (fi xing
screw is loosen).
• A small amount of leakage is
always present at the control
valves, thus allowing (a minimum)
of air to escape.
• Push-in connection is not released
(Fig. 2).
Corrective action
• Inspect/correct the foot switch connection.
• Replace foot switch.
• Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
• Replace the fl uorescent tube (refer to Sec. 5.6).
• Call for service to replace the electronics, or refer to
the spare parts list.
• Refer to Sec. 4.2, "Fluorescent Lamp Installation".
• Reverse the connections.
• Inspect the compressed air lines and/or the
compressor.
• Reposition the hoses.
• Inspect the pneumatic connections for correct seating.
• Replace the sandblasting hose.
• Increase the maintenance unit inlet pressure to at least
5 bar.
• Turn the inner pressure regulator clockwise until stop.
Activate foot pedal and set the pressure regulator on
the maintenance unit at 5 bar (see manometer).

• Press the push-in connection ring on the hose side
fi rmly while pulling on the hoses.
