BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS
DANGER!
Risk of fire! / Risk of explosion!
A highly-explosive oxyhydrogen mixture
occurs when batteries are charged.
• Fire, sparks, naked flames and smoking are
forbidden.
• Ensure adequate ventilation.
• Do not use the device in rooms in which easily
flammable material or gases may be present.
TRANSPORT
When transporting the tool by car, it must be positioned
so that it poses no danger, and secured.
STORAGE
The appliance must be stored in a dry place and protected
from frost.
Lock the device in a proper place to protect it from
unauthorised use.
After every work stint, clean the machine thoroughly to
remove all dust and debris, and repair or replace any faulty
parts.
MAINTENANCE
Only a regularly maintained and treated appliance can
serve as a satisfactory aid. Insufficient maintenance and
care can lead to unforeseen accidents and injuries.
Repairs and works specified in these Instructions may only
be performed by qualified authorised staff.
DANGER!
Corrosion Hazard !
Battery acid is highly caustic.
• Wear eye protective goggles ! Wear protective
gloves !
• Keep childrenaway from acids and filled
batteries.
First Aid
Rinse out any acid splashed into the eyes
immediately using clear water for several
minutes. Consult a doctor immediately.
Neutralise acid splashes on skin or clothes
immediately using acid neutraliser or soap suds
and rinse with plenty of water.
If acid is consumed, consult a doctor
immediately.
Make sure that no petrol escapes during transport. Avoid
damage and injuries.
Let the engine cool down, before you store the device in a
closed room.
DANGER!
Never keep the unit with petrol in the tank inside a buil-
ding where petrol vapours could get in contact with open
fire or sparks.
DANGER!
Before starting any work on the engine switch off the
engine, remove the ignition key, activate the parking
brake and pull out the spark plug connector. Wait until
all rotating parts have stopped and the appliance has
cooled down.
Keep hands away from all cutting edges and moving parts.
Fingers can be pulled into cutting carriage and be cut or
crushed.
For safety reasons, only have the cutting blade sharpened,
balanced and mounted by a specialist workshop.
