Montieren eines Reifens
Always observe WdK or applicable national
guidelines when mounting tyres.
Mounting a tyre is much easier if, before mounting,
a commercial lubricant is applied to the bead and
the rim fl ange over which the bead will be mounted.
Never use other products which its is only
assumed have a lubricating action!
• Clamp and/or adjust the rim so that the wheel
valve is approximately 180 degrees from the
mounting/demounting tool.
• Apply suffi cient lubricant to the tyre and rim.
• Place the tyre on the rim at an angle (Fig 24).
• Depress the pedal (2, Fig.25) to tilt the tower into
the operating position.
• Check the mounting/demounting tool setting and/
or adjust as described in Chapter 5. Adjusting the
mounting/demounting tool.
• Position the tyre on the mounting/demounting tool
so that the lower tyre bead runs from below the
mounting/demounting tool tip upwards over the
bead guide support lip (Fig. 26A, arrow).
• Start mounting by depressing the pedal (1, Fig.
25). During mounting observe the correct bead run,
otherwise stop and correct by hand, then proceed
until the tyre bead has gone in completely over the
rim fl ange.
• In the case of tyres with inner tubes, insert the
tube after mounting the lower tyre bead. To avoid
damage to the tube once fi tted, pay attention to the
tube position as you continue with tyre mounting.
• To mount the upper tyre bead, position tyre again
so that the bead runs from below the mounting/
demounting tool tip upwards over the bead support lip
(Fig. 26B, arrow).
• Start mounting the upper bead by depressing
the pedal (1, Fig. 25). After a part of the bead
measuring approximately 10 - 15 cm has been
mounted over the rim fl ange, stop turntable
