Troubleshooting

Problem
The device does not power on.
The screen is blank.
The battery status LED is flashing
red.
The battery status LED is solid red
although the power adapter is
connected to the eMag 43 HD.

Solution
Press the green-yellow power button. If the eMag 43 HD does not power on,
charge the rechargeable batteries or replace the single-use batteries.
Note: The batteries will not charge while the eMag 43 HD is connected to
the USB port.
Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly. –> page 12.
When the eMag 43 HD is connected to the computer via USB, the screen is
blank.
Turn on the LED lights.
Power off the eMag 43 HD and then on again.
Make sure the item to be magnified is positioned correctly under the
camera window.
Press the yellow magnification button to run through the magnification
levels.
Press the blue arrow buttons to view the various colour combinations.
Charge the rechargeable NiMH batteries or replace the AAA single-use
alkaline batteries. (Do not mix battery chemistries.)
When replacing rechargeable batteries, use only 1000 mAh NiMH
rechargeable batteries.
A battery error has occurred. Unplug the power adapter from the eMag 43 HD
and plug it in again.
