Press the measuring button (1) twice in quick succession
again to display the last two measurements.
If no button on the measuring tool is pressed for approx.
5 mins, the measuring tool will automatically switch itself off to
preserve battery life.
Do not direct the laser beam at persons or animals and

do not stare into the laser beam yourself (even from a
distance).
Practical advice
General advice
The reception lens (7) and the laser beam output (8) must not
be covered during the measuring process.
The measurements are taken at the centre of the laser beam,
even when the laser is pointed at surfaces diagonally.
Errors – causes and corrective measures
Cause
Temperature warning (b) flashing, display shows "err",
measurement not possible, measuring tool switches off
automatically after five seconds
Measuring tool is outside of
the operating temperature
range of – 10 °C to +40 °C.
All symbols flash, measurement not possible
Measuring tool faulty
Fitted adapter (c) flashes, display shows "err", meas-
urement not possible

Corrective measure
Wait until the measuring tool
has reached operating tem-
perature. Then switch the
measuring tool back on.
Check the batteries and re-
place them if necessary.
