Safety Information

Thank you for buying this Haier refrigerator-freezer appli-
ance.
Please read these instructions carefully before using this ap-
pliance. The instructions contain important information which
will help you get the best out of the appliance and ensure safe
and proper installation, use and maintenance.
Keep this manual in a convenient place so you can always
refer to it for the safe and proper use of the appliance.
If you sell the appliance, give it away, or leave it behind when
you move house, make sure you also pass this manual so
that the new owner can become familiar with the appliance
and safety warnings.
Persons (including children) who are not reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabilities or their inexperience
or lack of knowledge able to use the device safely,
should not use this device without supervision or instruc-
tion by a responsible person.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
Using it for any other purpose could invalidate any war-
ranty or liability claim.

Installation

Ensure that any plastic wrappings, bags, etc. are kept
out of the reach of babies and young children. Danger of
suffocation.
Always make sure a qualified person installs this appli-
ance.
The appliance is heavy. Always handle with at least two
persons.
Never place the appliance horizontally on the ground.
Check that no parts of the appliance are damaged,
especially parts of the cooling system, pipes or leads.
If damage has occurred, DO NOT install the appliance;
you should contact a qualified service engineer or con-
tact Customer Care.
• Please leave the appliance to stand for at least six
hours. This will allow the cooling system to settle follow-
ing transportation.
The product is set for operation at a specific ambient
range between 10 and 43°C. The appliance may not
work properly if it is left for a long period at a temperature
above or below the indicated range.
The appliance should be placed in a well-ventilated
place. Ensure a space of at least 5 cm above and around
the appliance.
The appliance must be kept away from direct heat (e.g.
stoves, heaters) sources and direct sunlight.
WARNING! Leave the ventilation openings free of ob-
struction.
Install and level the appliance on a floor strong enough
to take its weight and in an area suitable for its size and
use.

Electrical Safety

The mains electricity supply must be conformed to the
rating plate as shown on the inner of the appliance part,
which is located inside the refrigerator compartment.
The appliance is operated through a 220-240 VAC/50 Hz
power supply. Abnormal voltage fluctuation may cause
the appliance to fail to start or not to operate correctly
and damage the temperature control or compressor,
originating abnormal noise too. To eliminate abnormal
fluctuation it is suggested to use an automatic regulator.
WARNING! Use a separate earthed socket for the power
supply. This appliance must be earthed.
The plug MUST be accessible after the appliance has
been positioned.
Do not use single or multiple adapters or extension ca-
ble. Fire hazard due to overheating.
The appliance´s power cable is fitted with a 3 pin
(grounding) plug that fits a standard 3-pin (grounding)
socket. Never cut off or disassemble the grounding.
Connections to the mains supply should be in accord-
ance with local regulations.
• Take care not to roll over the power cable or damage it
when moving the appliance.
Avoid damage to the electric cable when moving the ap-
pliance.
If the electrical cable is damaged it must only be re-
placed by either the manufacturer or the authorised
service agent.
Hold the plug, not the cable, when unplugging the appli-
ance.

Before first Use

Before you plug the appliance into the mains, clean the
inside of the appliance using warm water and bicarbo-
nate of soda, then dry thoroughly.
Daily Use
DO NOT damage the refrigerant circuit. If it does be-
come damaged, do not use the appliance.
WARNING!: Do not use electrical devices inside the food
storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are
of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
WARNING! Use drinking water only with this appliance.
Do not touch the inside surface of the freezer storage
compartment when in operation, especially with wet
hands, as your hands may freeze onto the surface.
Do not touch frozen goods with wet hands (wear
gloves). Especially do not eat ice lollies immediately after
removal from the freezer compartment. There is the risk
to freeze or the formation of frost blisters. FIRST aid:
keep immediately under running cold water. Do not pull
away!
