CHAPTER 3 - USE AND ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING
All adjustments must be made
while the machine is disconnected
from the mains by unplugging.
3-1 HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
To adjust the power feeder for height,
it is necessary to take account of the
thickness of the piece to be cut (see
Fig.12). Place the wheels at a height
approximately 3-5 mm less than the
height of feeding plane, so that they
hold firmly at all times; the suspension
system
will
offset
any
differences.
3-2 INCLINATION ADJUSTMENT
The power feeder has been designed
to be used on several machines. In
any case, to make sure that the piece
movement is parallel to the guide-
square, it is necessary to place the
power feeder at a slight angle to the
direction of the piece motion (see
Fig.13).
For applications in which the feeder is
used in "vertical position", therefore,
make sure the distance (B) between
height
the outlet roll and the square is 5-6
mm less than that of the inlet roll (A).
A = B +5/6 mm

distance (B) between the outlet roll
and the plane of the machine is 5-6
mm less than the distance (A), which
is the distance between the inlet roll
and the plane of the machine tool.
