AUX input / headphone input jack
To play music from an external audio player connected to the AUX IN jack:
•
Set the function AUX using the switch.
•
Set the volume level of the external player to about half the level.
•
Adjust the volume of the sound system to the desired level. If the volume is not set high enough, you may
need to increase the player's volume setting.
Note: This device does not allow you to navigate the menu system of an external audio device when connected
via the AUX IN jack.
There is a headphone jack on the back of the device. When headphones are connected to this jack, the speakers
turn off automatically.
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the device
Make sure that the device is entirely switched off before cleaning.
•
Clean the surface of the device using lightly wet cloth.
•
Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasive ingredients.
•
Do not use cleaning sprays on or near the device.
Handling the discs
•
Do not touch the media side of the disc.
•
Do not stick any labels on a disc.
Disc cleaning
•
Fingerprints and dust on the surface of the disc may
degrade the quality of reproduction. Keep discs clean at all
times. Wipe the disc with a fine cloth from the center towards
the edge.
•
If a disc cannot be cleaned with a dry cloth, use a slightly
damp cloth and then wipe dry.
•
Do not use solvents such as paint thinner or benzine,
commercially available cleaners or anti-static spray, you could damage the disc.
Disc storage
Do not store the discs in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Do not store the discs in places exposed to dust and moisture, such as in a bathroom or near a humidifier.
Storing discs vertically in a box, placing discs on top of each other, or placing foreign objects on discs without
a box may cause them to become deformed.
Cleaning the tape player
Use cotton swabs soaked in alcohol or a special solution to clean the
tape heads.

button and clean the rubber pressure roller (A).

Press the button and clean the magnetic heads (C) and spindle
(B).
