Transport
The explosion-protected emergency pack
may only be transported in an upright
position (connection box at top).
9.1. Separate transport of battery unit
The following shall be observed:
- Transport the battery unit in the original
packaging.
- Protect against shocks and blows.
- Secure the connection leads in the holders
provided (Fig. 7).
- Transport the battery unit in an upright
position only,
(battery contacts at the top, lettering legible)
(Fig. 5). When carrying out repair work, the
undamaged battery may be transported as
described above through potentially explosi-
ve Zone 1 atmospheres.
When transporting/dispatching battery units,
the respective hazardous goods regulations
shall be taken into account.
If battery enclosures leak or are damaged,
the batteries shall be classified as Class 8
hazardous goods, UN-No. 2794, and shall be
packed and transported accordingly.

Disposal / Recycling
The respective valid national regulations for
waste disposal shall be observed when
disposing of apparatus.
