1. General information

1.1. Introduction

This manual is intended for end-user (owner) of the drive, together with the sectional garage door.
The manual is an integral part of STARCUS K06 or K10 drive supply and it should be read before starting the operation of the drive.
Rules for safe use of the device, maintenance and safety recommendations contained in this manual enable the user to safely operate
the device and protect the user against potential risks. Therefore, it is recommended that you keep the manual for future use.
The owner of the garage door, after its installation, is provided with:
• user manual for the drive
• user manual for the garage door
• maintenance manual
• Report Book
• Declaration of Conformity signed by an authorized installer (after functional tests of the garage doors with the drive and making
sure that the drive, control and all protection devices work properly).
The garage doors with the drive may not be used until they are commissioned by the installer, as described in chapter 4.3
„Commissioning of the device after installation"
Please read the whole manual before the first use of STARCUS K06 or STARCUS K10. Read the whole manual and strictly its guidelines
to ensure safe operation STARCUS K06 or K10 drive and minimize the risk of accidents or equipment failure.
This manual is valid only for the device with which it was delivered. It is marked with the device according to its type, serial number and
year of construction.
Use the device only for its intended purpose. Unauthorised use, inconsistent with the principles set out in this manual will void the
guarantor in case of failure. This also applies to the obligatory use of original spare parts.
WARNING! This sign warns of a potential risk to the device operator,
bystanders or the environment and the risk to the device itself. Failure to
follow instructions marked with this symbol may cause an accident.
Strictly observe the recommendations marked with this symbol.
The manufacturer provides a complete STARCUS K06 or K10 drive with a dedicated mounting set and the sectional garage door.
Below, we present elements, which are integral part of the complete device set:
• the drive,
• dedicated mounting kit,
• installation manual (intended for the installer)
• user manual for the drive,
• sectional garage door,
• user manual for the garage door,
• declaration of conformity, mentioned above.
The above-mentioned set may be used by the user, provided that a proper installation is performed by authorized technicians from
the dealer network and after they sign the EC / EU declaration of conformity for the device.
Making any changes to the device without agreement, exempts the manufacturer from the consequences of their introduction,
and may void the guarantee. Details of the guarantee and servicing are specified in the guarantee card.

1.2. Marking of the device

Marking of the device is specified on the nameplate attached to STARCUS K06 or K10 drive - on the rear wall of its housing. The drive
is available in two versions: STARCUS K06 and STARCUS K10. It is available in two power versions, suitable for garage doors with
a maximum area of 8 m

2. Safety and Warnings

2.1. General Safety

When operating the device, the user must observe general health and safety regulations and rules defined for the conditions of work
with electrical equipment. When using STARCUS K06 or K10 drive, observe the precautions related with the use of the drive
and the door.
