The Nordforest 8 t wood splitter has a 400­V power connection. The
cable cross section of the connection cable must be at least 2.5 mm².
The length must not exceed 25 m (three-phase motor 400 V).
The neutral conductor of the wood splitter must be connected,
otherwise operation is not possible.

Connect the mains power cable to the switch/connector
combination.

Before commissioning, check the direction of rotation of 400­V
motors by switching the machine on and off briefly. The direction of
rotation must match with the arrow on the fan cover of the motor.
If the direction of rotation does not match with the arrow on the fan
cover:

Turn the two pins of the phased turner through 180° with a
screwdriver.

Transport to the workplace

Danger due to leaking hydraulic oil!
If the wood splitter is tilted very far backwards during transport, oil
can leak out of the filler port.

Close the tank cap on the oil tank fully, in order to prevent an
unnecessary loss of oil during transport.
The wood splitter is very easily transported. An axle is mounted at the
rear with two wheels. A transport handle is mounted in the top area of
the splitting column.

For transporting the wood splitter, drive the splitting column down
fully.
›
Close the filler port for the hydraulic oil to prevent oil leaking out
during transport.
