Intended use

The Nordforest wood splitter is a machine that is exclusively suitable
for chopping firewood in the direction of the grain. During this work,
the performance limits of the machine must always be observed (see
"The activities marked with an asterisk shall only be performed by the
specialist dealer." on page 63).
The wood splitter is approved for use in forestry and private applications.
It is intended exclusively for operation by one person. Two or more
persons must never operate one machine.
Intended use also includes reading and understanding this manual completely,
and in particular the chapter "Safety instructions" on page 40.

Improper use

Any improper use is prohibited. Improper use includes
• converting, modifying or disabling the two­hand operation,
• removing or modifying safety devices,
• any other use of the wood splitter apart from those uses described
in the "Intended use" chapter,
• using the wood splitter under operating conditions that deviate
from those specified in this manual.
Improper use of the machine voids all guarantee claims.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage to the machine or for
personal injuries that result from improper use.
