to this product and contain important points concerning bringing the appliance into service and

www.pentatech.de. Keep these instructions in a safe place and should the need arise pass them
on to a third party.
Proper use
This wireless chime consists of a weatherproof doorbell with transmitter FD2K and a chime with
receiver FD2G. The transmitter has a unique coding which has already been enrolled to the
receiver. The set can be extended by other transmitters (doorbell FD2K or motion detector FD2B)
as well as chimes FD2G. When pressed, the doorbell sends a wireless signal to the chime which
responds with a selectable chime sound and/or an optical strobe signal. The wireless doorbell
can be used as doorbell as well as a mobile pager, e.g. for elederly people, it can be used at the
counter of a shop or at a reception.
The doorbell is protected against sprayed water (IP44) and thus also suitabel for outdoor use. It
is powered by a 12 V MN21/23A alkaline battery (supplied). The wireless chime is to be
connected to a 230 V AC, 50Hz mains outlet and is for indoor use only.
Any other use or change of the appliance is improper use. No liability shall be assumed for
consequential damage as well as damage which is caused by improper use or incorrect
operation. This appliance is not intended to be used by people (including children) with restricted
physical, sensory or mental capacities, or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are
supervised by, or receive instructions how to use the appliance from, a person responsible for
their safety. Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

Operation
Open the housing of the doorbell by levering it carefully with a screwdriver at the gap [8] at
!
the side of the doorbell.
Loosen the two screws [9] that fix the circuit board in the cover of the doorbell, and remove
!
the circuit board.
Insert the supplied battery (pay attention to the markings of the polarity BAT+ and BAT-
!
on the circuit board) and fix the circuit board with the screws.
