As already described in chapter 8. a), a suitable extension cable (not enclosed)
can be inserted between the SMA connection and the aerial if there are any
problems with reception. Then you can place the aerial in a place with better
reception, e.g. in the house.
In contrast to conventional video-door intercoms with an integrated aerial, this
permits optimisation of the radio reception.
• Open the rechargeable battery compartment on the rear by removing the 6 screws of
the rechargeable battery compartment lid with a small Phillips-head screwdriver.
• Insert one of the two enclosed LiIon rechargeable batteries into the rechargeable battery
compartment in the proper polarity (plus/+ and minus/- is indicated in rechargeable
battery compartment and on the rechargeable battery).
• Insert the rechargeable battery compartment lid again and tighten the 6 screws again.
• Place the outdoor unit in the weather protection frame.
At the top of the outdoor unit, there is a small tab that is inserted into the corresponding
opening in the weather protection frame. Then fold the outdoor unit towards the wall.
Fasten the outdoor unit in the weather protection frame with the small M3 screw.
• Now switch on the operating voltage for the door opener. Then plug the mains adapter
of the outdoor unit into a proper mains socket.
c) Indoor Unit
• The indoor unit can be attached to a vertical wall via two apertures (14) using two
screws, hooks or nails (distance between the openings 118 mm).
When drilling or tightening screws, ensure that no wires or lines are damaged!
• Alternatively, the indoor unit can be set up on a horizontal surface. For this, screw the
two enclosed metal standing feet (19) to the apertures (16).
Do not put the indoor unit onto valuable furniture surfaces without a suitable
base, since there may otherwise be scratches.
• Remove the rechargeable battery compartment lid (15) on the rear of the indoor unit.
