c) Charge the Rechargeable Battery of the Indoor Unit
• Connect the Mini-USB socket (17) to the corresponding USB plug of the enclosed
mains adapter.
• Then plug the mains adapter into a mains socket.
• Switch on the indoor unit via the on/off switch (18) (switch position "ON").
The lower LED (11) is lit red while charging. When the rechargeable battery is
fully charged, the LED will be lit green.
Charging the completely flat rechargeable battery may take up to 5 hours.
The indoor unit can be used as usual during charging.
d) Charge the Rechargeable Battery of the Outdoor Unit
The rechargeable battery of the outdoor unit mostly serves as a supporting battery in
case of power outage.
The rechargeable battery is automatically recharged while the outdoor unit is connected
to the operating voltage.
e) Visitor Rings at the Outdoor Unit
• When a visitor pushes the doorbell button (26) at the outdoor unit, standby mode is
terminated and the camera in the outdoor unit switches on.
Depending on the ambient brightness, the outdoor unit automatically activates
the IR-LEDs (the IR-light is not visible to the human eye).
Observe that the image on the indoor unit screens will only be displayed in black
and white instead of colour due to the principle used if IR light is activated.
• The camera image appears on the indoor unit monitor. A bell melody comes from the
speaker of the indoor unit as well. The lower LED (11) lights up yellow.
The indoor unit saves a camera image automatically now.
The image on the display of the indoor unit goes out after 60 seconds if you do
not want to talk to the visitor. Then the video door intercom system returns to
standby mode.
