Figures 1 to 4
Fill the reservoir with water only. NEVER fill with
milk or instant drinks, e.g. instant tea or coffee!
(The subsequent percolation process will change
the taste).
Use medium to finely ground coffee (we
recommend approx. 6 g per cup). If there are
fewer cups, add slightly more coffee per cup than
for a larger number of cups. Brew at least 3 large
cups, otherwise the coffee will not have the
desired temperature and strength.
I = approx. 125 ml
When the brewing process is complete, the
appliance automatically switches off. To interrupt
the brewing process, pull out the mains plug.
Before refilling with water, allow the coffee
percolator to cool down for 5 minutes.
Tip: If the jug is rinsed out with hot water before
the coffee is percolated, the coffee will remain
warm for a longer period.
The same process can be used to brew tea.
NEVER expose the glass thermos jug to sudden
temperature changes! Do not touch the glass
flask of the thermos jug with pointed or hard
objects and do not reach inside risk of breakage
and injury.
J = approx. 85 ml
Glass breakage is NOT guaranteed!

Cleaning and Maintenance

All parts which come into contact with coffee
should be cleaned after use. Residue will affect
the taste.
All detachable parts except the thermos jug are
dishwasher proof, however do not place them
over the heater or wedge them into the
dishwasher (they could warp).
Clean the thermos jug with a soft cloth or sponge
under running water. Do NOT soak parts in water,
otherwise the seal may be damaged!
Remove coffee stains from the glass with a warm
water/vinegar solution after it has reacted briefly,
or use dishwasher detergent.
Wipe the housing exterior with a damp cloth only.
Do NOT use any scouring agents.
Do NOT use a steam cleaner.
NEVER immerse the appliance in water!
