14 Preparing for commissioning


MPS stations are generally shipped:
• Fully assembled
•
Individually adjusted and ready for use
•
Pre-commissioned
•
Tested
Note
If stations are combined, the mechanical setup, as well as sensor positions and settings, may have
to be modified.
Commissioning is generally limited to a visual inspection in order to ensure correct tubing, wiring and
application of operating voltage as well as connection of the external control system to the system.
All components and cables are clearly marked so that all connections can be easily restored.

14.1 Workstation

You will require the following in order to commission the MPS
•
The assembled and adjusted MPS
•
A control console
•
A PLC board with a (24 V DC, 4 A, ≤ 100 W) power pack and 24 digital inputs and outputs
•
A power supply (24 V DC, 4 A, ≤ 100 W)
•
Compressed air supply with 600 kPa (6 bar) (87 psi)
•
A PC with PLC programming software installed
•
Three I/O cables (SysLink)
