WARNING: Do not place your hand over the
air vents (3) at the machine rear or block the vents in
any way.
▪ Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common
sense when operating a appliance. Do not use a ap-
pliance while you are tired.
▪ Take a secure stance; do not overreach, especially on
ladders and stages.
▪ To use this appliance properly, you must observe
the safety regulations, the assembly and operating
instructions in this booklet. All persons who use and
service the machine have to be acquainted with this
Manual and must be informed about the potential haz-
ards when operating this appliance.
▪ This machine is not intended for use by persons (in-
cluding children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowl-
edge, unless they have been given supervision or in-
struction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
▪ Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
▪ The manufacturer shall not be liable for any changes
made to the tool nor for any damage resulting from
such changes.
▪ The appliance must not be used outdoors in rainy
weather, or in moist environment (after rain) or in close
vicinity with easily flammable liquids and gases. The
working place should be well lit.

Know your product

Before using the appliance, familiarize yourself with all
the operating features and safety requirements.
Use the appliance and accessories only for the applica-
tions intended. All other applications are expressly ruled
out.

Operation instructions
This appliance is supplied from single-phase alternat-
ing current mains only. It is double insulated according
to EN 60335-1 and can be connected to grounded or
not grounded sockets. This appliance is radio sup-
pressed in compliance with EN 55014-1, EN 55014-2,
EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3 for radio interference.
This appliance is intended for the removal of paint, form-
ing and welding of plastic, warming of heat-shrinkable
tubing; the tool is also suitable for soldering, loosening
adhesive joints and defrosting water pipes.
PRIOR TO INITIAL OPERATION
▪ Make sure the power supply voltage corresponds to
the value indicated on the name plate with technical
data of the tool.
▪ Always check the position of ON/OFF switch. The ap-
pliance must be connected to the power supply socket
only when this switch is in OFF position as the maxi-
mum temperature is achieved for 60 seconds only.
▪ Make sure that the cord and the plug are in order. If the
replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has
to be done by the manufacturer or his agent in order
to avoid a safety hazard.
WARNING: Always switch off and unplug the
appliance prior to any adjustment or maintenance.
▪ Check the functioning of the tool before each use and, in
case of a defect, have it repaired immediately by a quali-
fied person; never attempt to open the tool yourself.
▪ The distance between the nozzle and the processed
material will vary depending on the kind of material
but regardless of the regulator position keep the air
outlet at least at 50 mm away from the processed
surface.
▪ All application examples (except removing paint from
windows) can be performed without accessories;
however, using the appropriate accessory facilitates
operation and significantly improves the quality of the
results.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF
The hot air gun can be switched on and off by means of
the 3-stage ON/OFF switch (6) at the rear of the handle.
Switching on: Set the switch (6) to position I. Some
smoke may be emitted after switching on; this does not
indicate a problem.
Switching off: Set the switch (6) to position O. Let the
machine cool down with the nozzle up before leaving it
down or storing it.
The air flow can be adjusted by setting the switch lever
(6) to position I, II or III.
Set the switch (6) to position I in order to protect the sur-
rounding surfaces from overheating or in case the work-
piece is lightweight and there is danger of being swept
away by the air flow.
