Installing the electrical kit
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the spare wheel.
3. If necessary, remove the following coverings and panels:

In the luggage trunk
Covering of luggage trunk bottom
-
Covering of the rear end plate
-
Covering of the left side of the luggage trunk
-
Covering of the right side of the luggage trunk
-
4. Bore a 40 mm hole for the cable leadthrough at a suitable point in the rear end plate
(Fig. 1/6).
The centre mark provided in the rear end plate can be used for this drilling.
5. Slip the rubber grommet on the cable harness and adapt its length to the cable.
6. Starting in the luggage trunk, lead the socket end of the cable harness through the cable
leadthrough to the outside up to the socket holder plate (Fig. 1/7).
7. Insert the rubber grommet into the cable leadthrough (Fig. 1/6).
8. Screw the ground cable to the intended ground connection (C-pillar) (Fig. 1/5).
Installing the cable set with a bolted socket
9. Fit the socket gasket to the cable harness.
10. Connect the cable harness to the socket housing in accordance with the socket pin
assignment plan (Fig. 1/7) and push the rubber grommet towards the socket.
11. Screw the socket onto the holding plate (Fig. 1/7) using the supplied screws and nuts.
12. Secure the cable harness to the inside of the rear end plate using some adhesive plates.
