1.1 Application, use and technical data

bre.Lux PowerUnit 2 is a light-curing unit for dental laboratories or dental practices and is used for curing
dental light- and /or dual-curing pastes and liquids (composites, bonding agents, adhesives, tray materials,
resins). The unit features light-emitting diodes (LED) with different wavelengths so that bre.Lux PowerUnit 2
covers the wavelength range from 370 to 500 nm and is hence suitable for all standard dental materials. If
proper use is ensured, the 72 power LEDs have a service life of 20,000 hours without any signifi cant change
in performance. Perfect curing of the object is achieved thanks to uniform speed of the rotary plate.
Light-Tray + Sticks (object holders + 30 positiong pins) are perfect complementary products ot the
system since they are translucent and transport the entire light (range) to the light-curing material (dental
restoration) without any loss. Thanks to the large number of drill holes almost all objects can be placed
accurately with the positioning sticks.
bre.Lux LED N (hand lamp with prepolymerization function) - with a light wave range especially matched
with this function - is intended to be used for prepolymerization in the single use. Based on power supply
with the enclosed plug-in power unit, light-curing can be performed at any working place independent of
the basic unit. The stainless steel stand with a fl exible gooseneck (length: 30 cm) and a holding clip (third
hand function) enables working with both hands. The protective eyeshield avoids irritation of or damage to
the retina!
