Note: If in the following steps no torque is
required, then leave some leeway in the screw
fastening. The leeway makes it easier to align
the components.
Installation

2.1 Fasten the telescopic bracket
▶ Position the telescopic bracket on the cross
members.
▶ Fasten the universal clamp.
▶ Pull out the telescopic bracket and fold out.
▶ Fasten the universal clamp.
▶ Align the telescopic bracket flush with the
end of the cross members.
▶ Tighten the screws to 6 Nm.
▶ Fold in the telescopic bracket and push in.
2.2 Fasten the rotatable bracket
▶ Position the rotatable bracket on the cross
members.
▶ Fasten the universal clamp.
▶ Fold out the rotatable bracket.
▶ Fasten the universal clamp.
▶ Align the tube in the middle between the
brackets.
▶ Align the rotatable bracket flush with the
end of the cross members.
▶ Tighten the screws to 6 Nm.
2.3 Connect the brackets
▶ Drill the first through-hole (Ø 8.0 mm)
through the tube.
▶ Tighten the screws to 16 Nm.
▶ Drill three further through-holes through
the tube.
▶ Tighten the screws to 16 Nm.
2.4 Set the safety distance
▶ Measure the smallest distance between the
telescopic bracket and the vehicle body.
Note: The telescopic bracket must be at
least 8 cm away from the vehicle body
when folded out. If this requirement is not
met, carry out the following.
▶ Loosen the screws of the clamps.
▶ Push the cross members until there is a
distance of at least 8 cm.
▶ Tighten the screws of the clamps to 6 Nm.

and the limit stop
▶ Position the crash security.
Note: Ensure that the distance between
the rotatable bracket and the crash
security is 100 cm.
▶ Position the limit stop.
Note: Ensure that the distance between
the rotatable bracket in hinged position and
the limit stop is 1 cm.
▶ Fasten the clamps.
▶ Tighten the screws to 6 Nm.

Adjusting the STS 2.0 Side

ladder lift to the ladder
▶ Loosen the two hooks A, the limit stop B
and the limit stop C.
▶ Position the ladder on the STS 2.0 Side
ladder lift.
▶ Clamp the ladder rail with hook A against
limit stop B.
▶ Tighten the screws of the hook A to
20 Nm.
▶ Push the ladder with hook A to the pivot of
the STS Ladder lift.
Note: Do not push the ladder beyond the
pivot.
▶ Clamp the ladder rail between hook A and
limit stop C.
▶ Tighten the screws of hook A and limit
stop C to 20 Nm.
